are noticeable regional differences in education development among various
educational blocks in Kolkata, a metropolitan city with various social,
cultural, and economic compositions. Findings showed that areas with less
developed educational systems was reported with higher birth rates, larger
families, a less diverse professional structure, lower incomes, higher dropout
rates, and overall lower socioeconomic status. This study will assist
decision-makers in identifying Kolkata's educationally underdeveloped areas.
Besides, it will help to develop policies addressing drop-out rates, school
accessibility, employment creation, and other issues which will ultimately
improve the socioeconomic situation of the underprivileged sector.
