Abstract

For the past many years, India has been striving for inclusive growth where different sections of society equally share the benefits of economic development. This research attempts to analyze the various factors that determine and shape the level of inclusive development in India during the period 2004 to 2017. The study finds that inclusive growth in the Indian economy in terms of many social and development parameters is still inferior to other emerging economies despite its significant advancement in economic growth parameters. The research ultimately suggested that more measures at the governmental level are highly needed to bring a large mass of India’s socially and economically deprived citizens into the inclusive growth agenda of the economy.
