Abstract

The present study was carried out in Solapur APMC and Pandharpur APMC of Solapur district to analyse the seasonal indices and market integration of Pomegranate.  The secondary data required for the present study were collected for 15 years, from 2006 to 2020. Data were evaluated using simple tabular analytical tools, and functional analysis approaches to arrive at a precise conclusion, including seasonal indices, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, and bivariate correlation coefficient. The results concluded that the highest arrivals were during the harvesting period of Pomegranate (July-August). In terms of pomegranate price, the highest and lowest prices in the Solapur market were seen in September and May, respectively. The highest and lowest seasonal indices of price in the Pandharpur market were recorded in February and November, respectively. There was a low degree of price correlation between the Solapur and Pandharpur markets, owing to the spatial distribution of the selected markets.
