The present study examined the economics of vermicompost production of Gothan established under the Gothan and Godhan Nyay Scheme in Chhattisgarh. The study was based on primary data; conducted in three districts of Chhattisgarh plains, viz. Bilaspur, Janjgir-Champa and Raigarh. Criteria of Gothan selection were as follows; Model Gothan, Non-model Gothan, village Gothan and city Gothan. The results revealed that Model Gothan's Cost of production was lower as compared to Non-model, village and city Gothan. The study suggested that the education and training programmes might help the women's SHGs.
