Abstract

The study asked respondents about their knowledge, awareness, and practices regarding paddy waste management and by-products. The data were recorded using statements related to the know-how of procedures, acts, government benefits, management options, and techno-commercial knowledge regarding paddy waste and by-product management. Multiple regression modelling was applied after checking the adequacy of data to model the relationship between knowledge, practices, and management. Results indicated that processors knew the worth of paddy waste and by-products and related technologies, scope, etc. The major procurement channel was the miller to the processor, and the distribution channel was the processor to the middle agent to the retailer. For the regression model of management, knowledge and practices were found to have a significant and positive impact on management.
